The Youth of Bay Mills and Sault Tribe

In the summer of 2008, twelve of the younger members of the Bay Mills and Sault tribes came together to participate in the virtual museum project. As is typical of high school students everywhere, their interests range from sports to music to just hanging out. For proof that they don't live in tipis, we present some of their interests here.

Ashtyn Cameron and Kat Keenan are extremely camera shy, but behind the camera they have the makings of the next Steven Spielberg. Check out their first short film, Blueberry Picking (or "What To Do If You See A Bear").
Brad Tadgerson and Cole Tadgerson are destined to have their own show one day, although they are better known around the reservation for their mad fishing skills. The Brad and Cole Show has only produced one episode so far, but we're sure it will be picked up for syndication any day now.

Greg Dunning and Justin Frazier are also known as the "Flash boys" (for their flash animation skills, not because they do anything quickly). They play in an as of yet unnamed band and are never seen apart.
Alicia Gervais is quiet, but can secretly solve the Rubik's cube faster than you (unless you can solve it in under 3 minutes). She's also our resident code monkey and after finishing all of the required theming code for the virtual museum, she put together an interactive trivia quiz.
Kellen Perron has been called "a legend in his own mind." He prefers pen and paper to the keyboard and is "the best fire starter west of the Mississippi" (never mind that he lives east of that river).
Chantell Tadgerson is quiet and unassuming until you get her on the ice. The "rules" of women's hockey don't pertain to her -- she'll check you anyway.
Kyle Tadgerson is the eldest of the Tadgerson clan. The keeper of the stinkiest beaver bait recipe ever, he is also part of the Anishinaabemowin Language Immersion Program.
Julie Timmer is an avid outdoorswoman and a charming waitress at the Wild Bluff Golf Course restaurant. A member of the bear clan, she knows exactly what to do if you see a bear while blueberry picking -- throw Ashtyn down and run!
Rikki Timmer aspires to one day be a lawyer, taking on injustices everywhere. To her, heritage is not just for the history books.
